Toyota launches Yaris sedan in India

Toyota has finally launched the Yaris sedan in India. The sedan marks the company’s foray into the highly competitive C -segment with cars like the Honda City and Hyundai Verna to battle with.
Design wise the Yaris looks like a mini – Corolla. Toyota has packed the sedan with many first in segment features such as Powered drivers seat, Roof mounted A/C vents with ambient illumination, flat rear floor, tyre pressure monitor, front and rear parking sensors.7 airbags which include driver, passenger side, knee and Curtain shield airbags

Power for the Yaris will only come from a petrol engine for now, while a CVT gearbox is also on offer. The Petrol unit is a 1.5 litre dual VVT-I gasoline engine. Transmission options range from a 6-speed manual or a 7 speed CVT automatic.
Bookings for the Yaris sedan have commenced at Rs 50,000 across Toyota’s nationwide dealerships and prices for the new midsize sedan are below.
