Goa Government flags off 5 new Cardiac care ambulances

A first of its kind service in India brand new Cardiac care ambulances have been introduced into the 108 ambulance fleet.  The new ambulance were flagged off by the health minister Vishwajeet Rane and other dignitaries present at the function.

The new ambulances will be stationed across the state of Goa like the Community health centre Canacona, South Goa district hospital, North Goa district hospital  Sub district hospital Ponda and Goa Medical College and hospital Bambolim.


The new 108 Cardiac care ambulances are equipped with best in class advanced life saving equipment’s  namely

  1.  Defibrillator with 12 lead ECG capability

  2.  Syringe infusion pumps for continuous stage IV medicine administration    Emergency drugs used in critical care of cardiac patient

  3. Equipment to incubate patient

  4. Ventilator

  5. Oxygen

  6. Suction machine

  7. Round the clock fully trained doctors  [ MBBS]

  8. Advanced trained EMT

Addressing the media after the flag off ceremony Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane said  The new Cardiac care ambulances will attend to the patients who will be shifted to the nearest Primary health centre or Community health care where the patient will be thrombolysed and than transferred to the closest Cardiac  hospital for further treatment. He also said the ambulances are fully equipped to give first hand treatment to the patient while on the move to the nearest Health Unit.
