Struck by tough competition in the fast evolving compact SUV segment, Kia Motors has introduced a new updated Seltos for 2020. The 2020 version of the Seltos comes with new added features, new exterior paint schemes and a variant revamp.
The HTX, HTX+, GTX,GTX+ trims of the updated 2020 Seltos benefit with the addition of UVO connected tech, the connected technology allows to access voice assist, wake up command, UVO LITE air purifier, Hello Kia smartwatch connectivity and many more.
Buyers can now also opt for a dual tone finish for the roof with a new Orange and white paint scheme on offer only in the top spec HTX+ and GTX+ trims along with an electric sunroof. The HTX and GTX now receive metal scuff plate, LED room lamp, dual muffler design and an electric sunroof.
The HTK variant now gets leatherette seat upholstery, while the HTK+ variant gets printed dashboard garnish. Also the GTX and GTX+ now get black leather upholstery in the updated Seltos. Standard across the range is Emergency stop signal, front tray, USB chargers at front and rear, while all automatic variants come with standard remote engine start.
Under the hood, the powertrain options remain unchanged with the same 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol, a 1.5 litre petrol and a 1.5 CDRI diesel. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and automatic along with an IVT and 7-speed DCT automatic.
The upgraded Kia Seltos however has quite some competition with the Hyundai Creta that’s packed with many features itself and the upgraded Tata Harrier also in the fray along with the 2020 Nissan Kicks.
