BMW India has got hit by a massive blow with the sudden demise of its CEO Mr Rudratej Singh. The said news has sent shockwaves to the automobile industry who are just coming to terms with the loss. Mr Rudratej Singh who was the Chief Executive Officer at BMW India passed away on the 19th April due to cardiac arrest. Rudy was earlier known to be working at Unilever India, Royal Enfield among many other international companies both in automotive and non automotive sector. However Rudy’s death isn’t the only shocking news for BMW team, a few weeks back on April 7th BMW India’s sales director Mr Mihir Dayal also passed away after battling with cancer. The year 2020 has already been a dull time for the automobile industry with the ongoing COVID19 pandemic bringing most of the country into a lockdown. However BMW India will always remember 2020 as the year it lost two of the most highly ranked directors from its company. With utmost sadness and grief, we announce the passing away of Mr. Rudratej Singh, President and CEO, BMW Group India. A leader visionary and an inspiration to all who knew him, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. We pray they will find the strength to deal with this untimely loss.
