Mahindra Adventure has successfully conducted the 163rd edition of the Mahindra Great Escape-off roading Trophy in Goa. Held under the Adventure umbrella, the event saw 19 vehicles from the Mahindra stable participate in the coveted off-roading challenge.
The trophy challenge was flagged off from Regenta Resorts, Varca beach in Goa on the 24th of August 2019. The event saw Mahindra vehicles take on a number of difficult obstacles during the ‘Trophy Round’. The participants had to battle it out with obstacles such as slippery inclines and descents, to navigating over rocks and crossing streams, the adventure oriented off-road focused motorsport put both the driver and their machines to the ultimate test.
However at the end of the day, it was time to clean up all the slush and declare the winners. Ajith Kumar won in the modified category, Dattaraj Lawande finished in the stock category and Maithili Bobhe won in the ladies category. All winners get a full expense paid trip to complete trip in the Off-Roading Trophy 2019-209 finals at Igatpuri.
First conceptualized in 1996 as a non-completive, off-road event meant to encourage Mahindra customers to test the strength and performance of their vehicles on tough terrains. The Mahindra Great Escape has over the years has developed the reputation of being one of India’s most thrilling off-road event with each edition only getting better and seeking enthusiastic participation from die-hard Mahindra fans and customers across the country.
The winners of various Great Escapes held throughout the year, will win a grand prize which happens to be a brand new Thar 4×4 at the Off-Roading Trophy which will be held at the Mahindra Off-Roading Academy, Igatpuri next year.
