Maruti Suzuki had unveiled the new Ignis facelift at the ongoing 2020 Auto Expo in Delhi. However the funky hatchback has now been launched in Goa by the automakers dealer partners as well.
New on the 2020 Ignis facelift are minor cosmetic updates to keep it fresh and upto date in the market. There’s a new front grille with u-shaped motif, a new skid plate, new roof spoiler, new taillamp clusters and a redesigned bumper along with a new skid plate and reflectors on either side.
The changes are all too subtle on the inside with the only differences being the addition of a dual tone ivory colour scheme and the latest form of the Smartplay studio infortainment system. The user can access cloud based connectivity and offers real time features like live traffic updates, voice recognition, driver seatbelts reminder and vehicle information through the touchscreen system.
Powering the Ignis is a BS6 compliant 1.2 litre petrol engine with 83ps and 130Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and AMT transmission. The diesel however has been discontinued.
Maruti Suzuki has further added two colour schemes to the Ignis colour scheme range which includes – Lucent orange and Turquoise blue. Also on offer are three new dual tone colour schemes known as – Lucent orange with black roof, Nexa blue with black roof and Nexa blue with silver roof.
