The new Honda Amaze adopts a sharper design. The nose is angular with a solid wing face with the high set bonnet and square shaped headlamps with LED daytime running lights. Coming around to the side, there’s a strong shoulder line which flows from just after the headlights and runs all the way to the taillight. The roof flows into the boot in almost coupe like form, and integrates well into the rest of the car, while the large taillamps are a reminds you of the latest Civic.

Inside the new Amaze has been completely redesigned, gone are the boring and plain interiors of the outgoing Amaze as Honda has thrown in a new feature sophisticated interior. The dashboard gets a black and beige with a shiny piano black finish running the length of the dashboard. A brand new 2.0 Floating digipad as Honda likes to call it takes charge of the infotainment and entertainment duties. It comes loaded with Navigation with voice command, Video playback, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and hands free Bluetooth.

Honda has packed the new Amaze to the gills with features such as Shark fin antenna, Power folding Outside rear view mirrors, Push button start/stop, touch sensor based smart entry system, Automatic AC and Multifunction steering wheel. Should you raise a concern about how safe you will be in the Amaze and Honda has loaded it with rear view camera, day/night inner rear-view mirror, parking sensors, driver side anti pinch windows with one touch function, ABS with EBD, Engine immobilizer, ISOFIX seats and dual airbags as standard

Both engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a first in segment CVT automatic with paddle shifters. Fuel economy Figures stand at 19.5kmpl for the petrol manual and 19.0 kmpl for the petrol CVT, while the diesel returns 27.8 kmpl for the diesel manual and 23.8 kmpl for the diesel CVT Auto.

The new Honda Amaze is available with a segment first 3 years/ unlimited kilometres warranty and five colour options White Orchid Pearl, Lunar Silver metallic, Golden brown metallic, modern steel metallic and Radiant Red. The new sub compact sedan will rival the Hyundai Xcent, Tata Tigor, Ford Aspire, Maruti Dzire and Volkswagen Ameo and looking at what Honda has to offer, expect some tuff competition.
