Audi celebrates Five years of the A3 sedan in India
Audi has ventured into celebrity mood this season with its most affordable sedan in its line-up completing 5 years in the Indian market. The compact luxury sedan can be had with a lower price tag of Rs 28, 99,000 Lakhs (ex showroom prices).
Launched in 2014, Audi’s Expertise in design, technology and driving dynamics quickly attracted the young and stylish crowd to the Audi family and since then has been one of the most successful car in its segment.
The A3 comes loaded with features such as Panoramic Sunroof, Audi Phone box with wireless charging, 2 Zone AC with rear vents and Entry LED lights with Audi logo. The S line package further boasts of S line front and rear bumpers and side skirts, S line radiator grille, S line rear diffuser, tailpipes in chrome, illuminated door sill trims with S logo and S line badge on the front fenders.
Powering the sedan are two engine options – a 2.0 litre four cylinder 35 TDI and 1.4 litre 35 TFSI motor. The former produces 143hp and 320 Nm of torque and comes mated to 6–speed dual clutch transmission and the latter puts out 150hp and 250 Nm of torque and uses a 7–speed dual clutch transmission.
Audi says the 35 TFSI comes fitted with an intelligent engine and has Cylinder on demand efficiency technology and delivery a remarkable fuel efficiency of 19.2kmpl. The 35 TDI on the flipside returns a higher figure of 20.38kmpl.
