Benelli has launched the new Leoncino 500 motorcycle in Goa priced at Rs 4.79 lakhs (ex showroom price). The Benelli Leoncino 500 blends traditional scrambler design with modern accents and technology.
The Leoncino 500 measures 2160mm in length, 875mm in width and 1160mm in height. It uses a wheelbase of 1460mm and has a ground clearance of 145mm and uses a steel tube tellies frame.
In terms of design, the Leoncino 500 is well built and gets a circular headlamp with a unique LED daytime running lamp, LED taillamp, LED turn indicators, large 13.5 litre fuel tank, a well placed single piece seat and also gets a full digital LED instrument cluster that looks amazing when turned on. Also present on many places on the bike are Benelli logo’s and Leoncino 500 badges which are high quality and have a solid feel to them. The standout feature of the design though is the Lion cub placed on the fender of the bike as a tribute to the name Leoncino which means Lion.
Powering the motorcycle is a liquid cooled, 499.9cc engine that puts out 47.5hp and 46Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission as standard. The bike also gets a 50mm USD fork at the front and pre-load adjustable unit at the rear.
The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels which come wrapped in 120/70 tyres at the front and 160/60 at the rear. Braking duties are managed by 320mm dual disc with four piston callipers at the front and 260mm single piston, single disc at the rear along with ABS for added boost.
