BMW has launched the M2 Competition at Rs 79.9 Lakhs (ex showroom India). the sportscar overwhelms the combination of performance, agility and precision.
Design and styling speak; the M2 Competition follows the BMW family look with the kidney grille finished off in gloss black along with characteristic M side air vents and double round exhaust with valve operated M sports exhausts system. On the inside, the cabin comes with a good mix of Alcantara, fibre and carbon. The dashboard gets a familiar BMW layout but with plenty of M badges all over.
Powering the smallest M car is a 6.3 litre twin turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 405 bhp and 550 Nm of torque. The car comes mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox fast enough to propel the car from 0-100kmph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 250kmph. The power however is transferred to the rear wheels only which means getting the tail out on corners of the track is easier than you think.
Priced at Rs 79 Lakhs ( ex showroom) the M2 Competition will give the AMG CLA 45 and the Porsche Cayman S some a tough time ahead.
