A day after the official unveil, Hyundai India has officially begun accepting bookings for the new Santro ahead of the launch on 23rd October.
The bookings will be officially accepted online till the 22nd of October, and buyers who are interested in booking the car, can do so by logging on to Hyundai India’s website www.HyundaiIndia.com and booking the car by making a payment of Rs 11,000.
The new Santro will sport a handsome yet tallboy design with large sweptback headlamps, clamshell bonnet, cascade front grille with high placed fog lamps, pronounced lines on the doors and rear wiper.
Hyundai has also cleverly packaged the interior of their new family hatchback by providing many first in segment features such as 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear A/C vents and rear parking camera display on touchscreen system. It also comes with Hyundai’s patent eco coating technology that prevents unpleasant odour from developing in the AC Evaporator by degrading the micro-organisms.
The new Santro will also come equipped with best in class safety with safety features such as high strength steel body along with ABS, EBD and dual airbags as standard.
Under the hood will be a 1.1 litre heart that will churn out less noise vibrations and harshness along with superior performance and 20.13 kmpl mileage in the petrol, while the factory fitted CNG kit will turn out 30.5kgm.
Though not revealed yet, reliable sources have revealed that the new Santro will be priced in the price bracket of Rs 3-5 lakhs, which puts it directly in to rival the Maruti Celerio and Tata Tiago as its ace competitors.
