Maruti Suzuki has started accepting bookings for the Ertiga for Rs 11,000. The new 2nd generation MPV is slated for launch on 21st of November. An interesting point to note would be that the new Ertiga will be sold under the bright lights of the Arena dealerships and not under the Nexa umbrella.
Built on a 5th generation Heartect platform, the new Ertiga will ensure enhanced safety and NVH performance and will deliver effective absorption of crash energy. The new Ertiga will be available in 10 variants and two engine options.
Encompassing all the virtues of the life-style of the Indian customer, the new Ertiga will sport an upright and mature design language with a bold face complemented by stylish slim headlamps upfront. At the rear the stylish design will be further accentuated by 3-D LED taillamps that will be positioned on either side of the boot.
Moving to the interior, the new MPV will adopt a plusher experience on the inside that will reflect a high level of craftsmanship. The cabin will be finished off in high quality with wood trim running across the dashboard.
Under the hood will be brand new 1.5 litre K15 petrol borrowed from the Ciaz but in different states of tune. On the flipside the diesel will continued to be powered by the same 1.3 litre DDIS 200 diesel engine. Both engine options will come coupled to the progressive SHVS smart hybrid system thus returning higher mileage figures. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. The automatic transmission will be available only on petrol engine and Vxi and ZXi trims.
Maruti Suzuki will be offering the Ertiga with 5 exciting colours namely Pearl metallic auburn Red, Metallic Magma grey, Pearl metallic Oxford blue, Pearl acritic white and metallic silky silver.
