Citroen has commenced trial production of the C5 Aircross in the Indian market. The C5 Aircross is pegged to be the brands mainstay and first offering in Indian shores when launched.
Built at PSA’s plant in Thiruvallur facility in Tamil Nadu, the C5 Aircross will be assembled using CKD units. The automaker has also established its first dealership at Ahmadabad and many important metros are expected to get one in the future.
The Citroen C5 Aircross is a large SUV that’s roughly the size of the Hyundai Tucson and will be priced around the Rs 30 lakhs mark (ex showroom). It will compete against rivals such as the Skoda Karoq, Jeep Compass, Volkswagen T-ROC, and MG Hector when introduced in our market.

Sources have said that the French automakers first product for India will be sold only in one fully loaded trim. Hence we expect all the bells and whistles to be part of the kit as well. Engine options will include a 2.0 litre diesel engine with 180ps and an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
More details on this much awaited French car maker debut along with their first product will surface closer to launch, however we do know that the official launch has been pushed to the first quarter of 2021.from earlier last quarter 2020 plan thanks to the ongoing pandemic occurrence.
