Force motors have launched the new 33 and 41 seater Traveller Monobus. The new busses were unveiled at a grand event at the ongoing Bus World 2018 in Bangalore.
The Traveller Monobus is loaded with several path breaking and novel features offered for the first time in the midi-bus segment. The monocoque Traveller Monobus has been tooled up and designed by the R&D team in Force Motors and boasts of a whole new design language not seen on any Force motors Commercial vehicle yet.
The buses have been designed with low floor height thus offering easy entry and exit. The 2.35mm wide body interiors sport a wide gangway with ample leg room and full standing gangway. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Prasan Fiordia, Managing Director, Force Motors said “The Traveller Monobus is a completely in house effort of our R&D team and I am confident it will set new benchmarks in performance, comfort, reliability, durability and safety. These quantities have enabled Traveller to become acknowledged leaders in the 9-26 seater minibus category. The monocoque construction is possible due to the use of large pressed panels which are fully designed, tooled and produced in house. Force Motors has also applied for a number of patents on this product and process technology”.
Powering the Traveller Monobus is a 3.2 litre Common Rail Diesel engine that puts out 115hp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to an advanced 5-speed synchromesh gearbox with double cone synchronizer rings that offer low friction and smooth transmission. The specially designed clutch lining is designed for frequent start/stops common amongst tour and short distance operators. The Traveller Monobus is the only vehicle to feature disc brakes on all wheels, with new uni-booster hydraulic technology with ABS, EBD and latest engine drag torque control ensuring top class and confident braking. Force Motors is targeting private tour, staff and school operators with the new Traveller Monobus. The bus is available in 33 and 41 seater options in standard and school bus variants.
