Cacoulo Ford, the dealer partners for Ford in Goa has launched the new facelifted Aspire in Goa. The new Aspire was unveiled in presence of Mr Manoj Cacoulo and Suraj Cacoulo among other dignitaries.
The new Aspire sports cosmetic updates on the exterior and the car comes with a larger Aston Martin inspired front grille flanked by blackened headlamp clusters. It also gets new front bumper with chrome bezel placed just above the fog lamps. The side profile remains the same accept for the addition of new R15 alloy wheels wrapped in 195/55 section tyres, while the rear gets redesigned taillamp clusters and an updated rear bumper.
On the inside, the only change lies with the addition of a 6.75 inch touchscreen with Synch3 infotainment system along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The touchscreen also doubles up as a reverse parking camera as well, while the rest of the cabin stays the same as before.
Ford has also updated the safety kit in the 2018 Aspire by offering side and passenger airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD and driver seatbelt reminder as standard, while the top end Titanium+ comes with 6 airbags including curtain airbags and Emergency Assistance feature.
Under the hood, the 2018 Aspire draws its power from an all new 1.2 litre petrol engine that produces 96PS at 6500rpm and 120 Nm of torque at 4250rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual only. The 1.5 litre diesel on the other hand compromises of the same 100PS motor that has been returned to deliver 26.1 kmpl and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
Ford has swapped the dual clutch automatic for a 6-speed torque converter automatic, the engine comes strapped to a 123 PS 1.5 litre motor that pushes out 150 Nm of torque, but returns 16.3 kmpl.
The 2018 Ford Aspire facelift features a brand new White gold paint scheme that will be sold alongside 6 other colour options namely Smoke grey, Moondust silver, Ruby red, Absoloute black and Oxford white. With the facelift Ford aims to grab a sizeable share from the popular sub four metre sedan segment with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze to battle with.
