The Destini 125 made its first public appearance at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi in febuary as the Duet125 and itself based on the Duet125 which means most of the scooters masculine design language. It gets a bold premium chrome chest, new body colour mirrors, a dual tone seat cover, side chrome garnishes and stylish cast wheels.

Dr. Markus Braunsperger, Chief Technology Officer, Hero MotoCorp Ltd., said, “We are introducing the new Destini 125 scooter, within just a few weeks of launching a new premium motorcycle – Xtreme 200R. This clearly demonstrates our robust in-house competency in designing and developing products in the premium segment. The Destini 125 is the only scooter in India today to offer the revolutionary i3S technology, in addition to providing a perfect balance of power and style. We have a strong pipeline of new products in both scooter and premium motorcycle segments, which we will launch in the coming months.”

Powering the scooter is a brand new 125cc motor that puts out 8.7bhp at 6750 rpm and maximum torque at 10.2 Nm of torque. The powertrain offers 17% higher power than the existing 110cc offering and comes mated to a v-matic transmission.

The Hero Destini 125 is also the first scooter in India to get Hero’s intuitive i3S idle start-stop system thus enhancing efficiency and delivering 51 kmpl . Other features the Destini125 comes with include a side stand indicator, service due reminder, digital analog speedometer, external fuel filling system, remote key opening and optional mobile charging port.

Suspension duties are handled by telescopic shock absorbers at the front and single coil spring hydraulic type at the rear, while braking is taken care of by integrated braking system.

Hero is offering the Destini 125 in 4 exciting colour options namely Pearl silver white, Panther black, Chestnut brooze and Noble red which is exclusive to the VX spec Destini only. The Hero Destini 125 will rival the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Burgaman 125, Suzuki Access 125 and Aprilla SR125.
