Hero MotoCorp has been rapidly launching and building up on a robust range of premium motorcycles and two wheelers. Having introduced the Xtreme 200 R and Destini 125 in the market recently, the two wheeler manufacturer is now grabbing up to launch the XPulse 200 range in the market.

The new models headed to our shores are adventure based motorcycles namely the XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T. In a press note Hero has stated that the bikes will most likely be here by early 2019.

Unveiling the new XPulse 200T here at EICMA, Mr. Malo Le Masson, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, said “The Adventure and Touring motorcycle segments are very popular across the world and here we are showcasing Hero’s vision for these segments with the XPulse 200T based on our unique XPulse platform. We aim to further expand this platform and more products to our portfolio by the second quarter of the next year. Concurrently, we have used the new XPulse 200T for a unique initiative of co-creating diverse Concepts with customization specialist, and showcased the engineering process of developing a versatile platform. This also provides us an opportunity to capture the growing trend of direct customer engagement while opening the door to a new line of businesses.

The Hero XPulse 200T is a tourer that offers the feel of riding a motorcycle that can evoke modern technology in retro styling. Hero says that it has crafted the XPulse 200T to offer an easy comfortable riding posture by focussing on improving the ergonomics and load capability with a large luggage plate. In terms of features, the XPulse 200T will come with LED head and taillamps, Single channel ABS, digital speedometer with bluetooth connectivity and turn by turn navigation.

In a statement, Mr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Hero MotoCorp is globally known for its fuel-efficient and reliable products, sustainable manufacturing and frugal engineering that drive the wheels of economy in several regions. While we constantly strive to keep improving our existing iconic products, we have been currently focusing on developing higher capacity, youthful and exciting products. Going ahead, we plan to set the benchmark in the high-capacity premium segments as well, like we have done in the other segments.”

No engine details have been revealed yet by the company, but it would be safe to expect the same engine from the Xtreme 200 to power the adventure based motorcycles with different states of tune.
