Hero’s newly launched motorcycle the Xtreme 200S has finally started arriving at dealerships in Goa hinting that the two wheeler manufacturer has started dispatching the bikes to dealerships across the country. The motorcycle was earlier launched at a price tag of Rs 99,900 (ex showroom prices).
The Xtreme 200S is a fully faired offering in the 200cc segment, and comes with twin LED headlamps, well designed fuel tank, anti-slip seats and chiselled rear end. The bike also gets a fully digital instrument cluster which is surprisingly bluetooth enabled and comes loaded with tech such as gear indicator, trip meter, service reminder and turn by turn navigation.
Powering the Xtreme 200S is an air cooled 200cc motor that produces 18.4 PS at 8000rpm and 17.1 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. Transmission duties however are handled by a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The Xtreme 200S rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 100/80 section tyres at front and 130/70mm wide radial tyre at the rear.
The suspension units are managed by 37mm telescopic forks at front and 7-step adjustable forks at the rear. Braking on the other hand uses a 276mm disc at the front and 220mm disc at the rear along with a single channel ABS.
Buyers can have their bike in 3 colours Brown, Sports Red and Partner black. Speaking of the competition the Xtreme 200S rivals the Suzuki Gixxer SF, Yamaha R15 V 3.0 and the Bajaj Pulsar 200R.
