Jawa has finally launched the third motorcycle known as the Perak. The Perak was earlier showcased when during the brand’s introduction in the Indian market. The motorcycle has hence also arrived at the dealership in Goa.
The Jawa Perak definitely stands out in the automaker’s current range. The low stance and bobber like styling is further complimented with the floating seat, side low mounted mirrors and long exhausts. The bike also gets an all black paint job, round headlamp and round instrument cluster as well. Interestingly the taillamp has been positioned beneath the floating seat of the motorcycle.
Powering the Jawa Perak is a single cylinder BS6 complaint 343cc motor that churns out 30bhp and 31Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. The motorcycle rides on 18-inch spoke wheels at front and 17-inchers at the rear wrapped in 100/90 section rubber at front and140/70 section tyres at the rear.
Suspension duties are carried on with a telescopic hydraulic fork at front and 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking boost is supplied by 280mm disc at front and 240mm disc at the rear along with dual channel ABS.
Bookings for the Perak will commence in January, while deliveries are scheduled for April. Prices for the Jawa Perak however stand at Rs 1.95 lakhs (ex showroom).
