Honda enriches 2019 WR-V line-up

Honda Cars India has introduced a new updated WR-V line-up priced at Rs 8, 15,000 lakhs (ex showroom). The new WR-V line up consists of an enriched S and Vx variants and a new V trim for the diesel powered car.

The new V trim speced WR-V’s exterior gets signature LED daytime running lamps and position lamps, front fog lamps, wing mirror mounted turn indicator, chrome door handles and micro antenna. The interior on the other hand receives touchscreen infortainment system with AVN, steering mounted controls for audio, voice command and cruise control, push button start/stop, front centre armrest with storage, Honda smart key, tilt and telescopic steering power steering. It also gets R16 diamond cut alloy wheels.

Speaking on the introduction of latest addition and enhancements in WR-V, Mr. Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President and Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “Honda WR-V, the premium Sporty Lifestyle Vehicle introduced in 2017, features the brand’s global DNA and has been well accepted by customers. We are extremely delighted to introduce the new V grade and enriched versions of S & VX grade for WR-V. We are confident that the freshness added to WR-V line-up will be appreciated by our customers.”

New features in the S trim includes fog lamps, R16 diamond cut alloy wheels, Auto A/C with touch control panel, driver and passenger side vanity mirror and driver side one touch window up/down with pinch function. The updated Vx trim on the other hand gets additional features like leather wrapped steering wheel, driver and passenger vanity mirror and speed sensing auto door lock.

Both trims the S and Vx get newly introduced safety features such as rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminder and high speed alert are also part of the package and are available in petrol and diesel

Powering the WR-V is 1.2 litre I-VTEC petrol which produces 90ps power and 110nm torque, the engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, while economy figures stand at 17.5 kmpl. The 1.5 litre diesel on the other hand churns out 100 ps and 200nm torque mated to a 6 speed transmission and returns 25.5 kmpl.
