Honda has just announced that the company has begun accepting pre-bookings for the new Civic sedan across all its dealerships across the country. Eagerly waiting customers can now pre-book the car at any of the Honda dealerships by making a payment of an amount of Rs 31,000.
The 10th generation Civic is the most technologically advanced and dynamic Civic ever made. It adopts its styling from Honda’s family design language with a low bonnet, thick chrome grille upfront, large sweptback headlamps and slopping roofline. Expect Honda to offer a generously equipeied Civic for the Indian market. Features like a large touchscreen, automatic climate control could very well be on the equipment list of the car.
Talking about the Honda Civic, Mr. Rajesh Goel, Sr Vice President & Director, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “Civic is an iconic brand with a rich legacy of 10 generations and is currently our largest selling model globally. We are extremely excited to bring the latest 10th Generation All New Civic to the Indian market.”
Under its hood, the Civic will source its power from 1.8 i-VTEC petrol and 1.6 litre i-DTEC diesel motors. The 1.6 petrol produces 138bhp and 174 Nm of torque. The 1.6 litre i-DTEC diesel motor churns out 118bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the diesel engine include a 6-speed manual and an advanced CVT for the petrol.
Honda hasn’t disclosed any pricing details yet, but we expect competitive pricing to be announced by the Japanese brand when it launches on the 7th of March 2019.
