Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has launched an updated Activa 125 in India priced at Rs 59,621 (ex showroom). The scooter comes with two new matte shades ‘matte crust metallic’ and ‘matte Selene silver metallic’ and is priced at a premium of Rs 2,000 over older model.
The 2018 Honda Activa 125 a host of updates to keep it fresh in the market, the scooter gets a new LED headlight to brighten up the streets better, a redesigned instrument cluster with , four in one ignition key console with separate switch to open the boot, chrome muffler cover and grey alloy wheels. A mobile charger is offered as an option just like the earlier one.
The 2018 Honda Activa 125 continues to be powered by same 124.9cc motor producing 8.5 bhp and 10.54Nm torque. The motor is mated to a V-matic transmission and has a claimed top speed of 84kmph.
Honda added a 3-step adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear while the front carries on the telescopic fork unit. Braking power is provided by drum brake units on the base and mid variant, while the top end gets a disc brake as an optional extra.
The Honda Activa 125 takes on the Suzuki Access 125 which is its closest rival.
