Honda Cars India Limited has announced that its second generation Amaze has spelled success for the automaker. The compact sedan has crossed 100,000 sales mark in just 13 months since its launch in mid May.
The All New Amaze has attracted more than 25% first time buyers, indicating an increasing aspirational trend among the first time buyers to opt for premium sedans. The car has been well received across markets with 38% sales from Tier1 cities and 32% and 30% from Tier2 and Tier3 cities respectively. The advanced CVT technology has found very strong acceptance among customers with more than 20% of Amaze customers opting for automatic variants in petrol and diesel.”
Celebrating its success, the Japanese automaker has introduced a special Ace Edition with new cosmetic updates. Based on the top grade Vx, the Ace edition can be had in petrol or diesel and in 3 colour schemes – Radiant red, Lunar Silver and White Orchid Pearl.
The Honda Amaze Ace Edition gets an Ace Edition Emblem, black door visor, door edge garnish, sporty black trunk spoiler, front room lamp and stylish seat covers with Ace Edition branding. It also comes with sporty black alloy wheels.

Powering the Amaze is a 1.2 and 1.5 litre petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2 litre petrol produces 90 PS at 6000rpm, while the 1.5 litre diesel on the other hand churns out 100 PS at 3600rpm. Transmission options range from speed manual and first in class CVT automatic gearbox for both petrol and diesel engine options.
First introduced in India in April 2013, Honda’s Amaze has brought joy to more than 3.5 lakh customers across the country. However the second generation launched in May 2018 has contributed to 52% of the total sales at HCIL in FY19-20.Honda is also offering 3 years Unlimited Kms warranty and lowest cost of maintenance, both of which have become strong appeal points for customers’ satisfaction
