Honda motorcycles and scooters India has officially taken its first step to offering riders a machine with attitude by bringing in the CB300R in the market. The CB300R is priced at Rs 2.41 Lakhs (ex showroom, pan India) and will rival the likes of the KTM Duke 390 and BMW G310R.

Designed to be a timeless roadster that mixes styling from Neo Sports Café concept, the CB300R sports a fully digital LCD instrument cluster which reads out useful information like fuel level, rpm, gear position and speed apart from the usual warning lights. The bike also gets a circular LED headlamp with a two bar signature light and a slim LED taillight.

Being a part of the naked family, the CB300R surrenders to the power roaring out from a 286cc liquid cooled motor. The motor produces 30hp @ 8,000rpm and 27.4 Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, and comes mated to a six speed gearbox. Honda says the combination of torque output and lightest weight in 300cc segment allows CB300R to gain the best in class torque to weight ratio.

The Suspension is made up of 41mm upside down front fork and a 7-step pre-load adjustable rear monoshock arm. The sophisticated software of the braking system is supported by 2 channel ABS Internal Measurement Unit and 296mm front disc brakes with radial mounted front callipers.

Bookings for the motorcycle have begun at Rs 5,000 at the exclusive Wing world dealerships across India with deliveries slated for March 2019. Buyers have the option of choosing from two paint schemes namely – Matte Axis Metallic grey and Candy Chromosphere Red.
