Hyundai has introduced the Grand i10 Nios turbo in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 7.68 lakh (ex showroom prices). The sport oriented hatchback was first displayed at the recently concluded 2020 Auto Expo in Delhi.
New to the 2020 Grand i10 Nios turbo is of course the engine which is borrowed from the Aura and Venue. It’s a 1.0 litre direct injection turbo petrol motor that churns out 100hp and 172Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
In terms of design changes, the turbo powered Nios receives full black treatment for the cascading grille upfront along with a turbo badge shod in red. It also gets full black treatment for the interior with red highlights for the A/C control knobs, A/C vents and red contrast stitching for the seats, steering wheel and gearknob.
Having based on the Sportz trim, the Nios does miss out on a few features like chrome door handles, push button start/stop, but does get an 8.0 inch touchscreen infortainment system, part digital analogue instrument cluster and boomerang shaped LED daytime running lights among many more.
