Hyundai i20 CVT automatic launched in Goa

As announced earlier, that the i20 would get a CVT automatic gearbox, Hyundai has now launched the i20 CVT automatic in the Indian market. The cars have now begun arriving at dealership yards in Goa as well.

Powering the i20 CVT is 83bhp 1.2 litre petrol motor, which now comes mated to the CVT automatic gearbox. The i20 CVT is available in two variants; Magna and Asta which means buyers can choose enjoy the convenience of an automatic at a lower price point.

Considering the i20 CVT is based on the regular Magna and Asta variants, it would be safe to say that the CVT equipped i20 is loaded with the same features as its manual sister. The magna variant packs in manual A/C, Rear A/C vents, manual central locking, USB, Aux-in, 2-din integrated music system with MP3, full wheel covers, driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, body coloured door handles and outer rear view mirrors. The Asta variant on the other hand is loaded with features such as Reverse parking sensors and Camera, front fog lamps, keyless entry, rear defogger with timer, daytime running lights near fog lamps, turn indicators on mirrors, R15 Alloy wheels, 17.7cm touchscreen with navigation, mirror link, android auto and apple car play and Automatic climate control.

Speaking  of the competition, the i20 CVT will rival the Honda Jazz and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno CVT, both of which have a CVT automatic option as well.
