Hyundai launches Creta facelift launched in Goa

Hyundai has taken the wraps off the new facelifted Creta in Goa. The new Creta boats of updated interiors and a long list of  features.

Speaking of the design the Creta facelift gets a new larger front grille finished off in black flanked by redesigned headlights with projectors and LED drls in them. The new bumper now receives a skid plate, separate fog lamps housings and LED daytime running lights. Moving on to the side profile remains unchanged accept for the addition of the R17 diamond cut alloy wheels and the exclusion of the roof rails, while the rear receives updated taillamp clusters and redesigned bumper with skid plate.

On the inside the dashboard and interior space is more or less the same and the 2018 Creta continues to offer the dual-tone black and beige interiors, however Hyundai has added a new powered sunroof (yes it finally gets one), wireless charging for your Smartphone, 6-way adjustable electric driver seat and sliding front armrest.

The Korean car maker has as usual packed the Creta to the gills with features and tech. The highlight being the Smart key Band which functions as a key by allowing the owner to not just track the number of calories burnt and steps taken but notifies you about incoming calls but wakes you up if you fall asleep while driving. Other functions of the Smart Key include door lock/unlock, Engine start/stop, Alarm, Time display and a find band function as well.

Other features the new 2018 Creta SUV offers are Cruise control and 17.7cm AVN touchscreen infotainment system with IPS display and Auto Link. Safety wise it gets dual front airbags and ABS as standard, while Electronic stability control, hill assist control, HIVE body shape and vehicle management system are also on offer.

Mechanically the SUV carries on unchanged and it continues to be powered by one petrol and two diesel engine options. The 1.6 litre petrol unit produces 123 bhp and 15.4 kgm torque mated to a 6 speed manual/ automatic transmission. The 1.6 litre Crdi diesel engine churns out 128 bhp and 26.5 kgm torque, this engine comes with the option of 6 speed manual/ automatic gearbox. The 1.4 litre Crdi diesel on the other hand comes with a single manual gearbox option and puts out 90 bhp at 24.4 kgm torque.

Hyundai has added two new colour options namely Marina Blue and Passion Orange to the Creta line-up, whereas the dual tone options include Polar white and Passion Orange both with a black roof as standard.
