Hyundai has released a fresh hot video of the up-coming Styx sub compact SUV. The car that had taken birth as the Carlino at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo is expected to debut as a production ready car in the coming months.

In a press release it has been stated that the upcoming SUV will embark on a journey across India to be tested in different geographical terrains, high altitude lands and stern weather conditions.

The video showcases a handsome looking SUV like most Hyundai’s in recent times being drivern around the track at the automakers manufacturing plant in Sriperumbudur, Chennai. Design elements like the cascading front grille, split headlamps with daytime running lights, roof rails, diamond cut alloy wheels, roof mounted antenna and even a sunroof are purely visible to the naked eye and will be part of the package upon launch.

The teaser video has not revealed the interior or revealed any details yet, but going by the size of the SUV we expect it to sport a roomy interior along with a lengthy feature list.

Details on the engine side have not been revealed about its engine yet, but we expect a 1.0 litre three cylinder petrol and 1.4 litre diesel engines coupled to manual and automatic transmissions to make it under the hood of the SUV.

Expected to launch in the coming months, the Hyundai Styx will rival the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon and the recently launched Mahindra XUV 3OO.
