Hyundai has launched a new updated Active i20 in India sporting minor cosmetic changes and a new a new Marina Blue shade with White roof colour combination priced at Rs 6.99 Lakhs (Ex showroom)
Speaking of the design, the Active i20 now receives an altered front radiator grille, Chrome surround fog lamps and a new black rubber strip on the lower part of the boot-lid. Coming to the interior, the basic design stays the same, Hyundai is offering a new Alps Blue highlight for the A/C vents surround, gear knob tip and seat upholstery.
Hyundai’s are generally known to be feature packed and the 2018 Active i20 gets ISOFIX rear child safety mounts, rear armrest with cup holders borrowed from the updated i20 and an USB charger. The 17.7cm touchscreen infotainment system stays the same but gets new greyscale colour theme and iBlue sense Smartphone App for Audio and Remote control
Power for the new 2018 Active i20 come from the same 1.2 litre petrol producing 83bhp and 6,000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the diesel unit is 1.4 litre CRDI diesel churning out 90bhp and 4,000 rpm comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The crosshatch segment is slowly gaining momentum with more launches in this segment however the Updated Active i20 will take on the Etios Cross, Fiat Urban Cross, Honda WR-V and the newly launched Ford Freestyle.
