Hyundai has begun accepting bookings for the Venue ahead of its launch on 21st May. Buyers can book their Venue by making an initial payment of Rs 21,000 at Hyundai dealerships or online through Hyundai India’s website (https://bookonline.hyundai.co.in/).
Unveiled on-board a cruise ship Angriya on Mumbai to Goa route, the Venue will first debut in India before the rest of the world. The highly anticipated sub compact SUV has gained lot of interest from buyers for its long list of features, 33 to be exact, 10 of which will be exclusive to the Indian version.
Commenting on the VENUE booking announcement, Mr Vikas Jain, National Sales Head, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “Today we are set to mark a new beginning in the Indian Compact SUV segment. The Hyundai VENUE has already captured the customer’s Purchase of Interest and we are confident this SUV will set a new benchmark in Auto Industry. The Hyundai VENUE is a testimony of our commitment to bring the best of global products and technology for our customers in India. Hyundai VENUE is a true example of our emphasis towards becoming a lifetime partner in the everyday lives of our customers, with its modern progressive design and versatile package including Seamless Connectivity, Complete Safety and Peace of Mind.”
Under the hood, the Venue will source its power from two petrol and one diesel engine. First up is a 1.0 litre Kappa Turbo GDi motor that will produce 120 ps and 17.5 kgm of torque, while the 1.2 litre petrol puts out 83 PS and 11.7 kgm of torque. On the other hand the 1.4 litre Crdi diesel churns out 90 PS and 22.4 kgm of torque. Transmission options though limited to a 5-speed manual on the 1.2 petrol and 1.4 diesels, the 1.0 litre turbo GDi petrol will get a 7-speed dual clutch auto along with a manual transmission.
Hyundai has announced that the Venue will be sold in 4 trims, multiple powertrain options and 7 exciting paint schemes out of which three will be new – Denim Blue, Lava Orange and Deep Forest and 3 Dual Tone options. However things won’t be easy with the competition as the Venue is expected to kick up quite a storm with the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3OO and Ford Ecosport in the prey.
