Leaking cars before the official launch or unveil is a common practice among most automobile journalists and enthusiasts, however this time we have to get our hands on what could  be the production version of the Hyundai Venue seen in the flesh for the first time.

As can be seen from the pics, the Hyundai Venue gets cascade design front grille, split headlamps with daytime running lamps upfront. The side profile is still under wraps but we can confirm the presence of dual tone alloy wheels and roof rails. But at the rear it gets small boxy taillamps inspired from  the Carlino concept along with Hyundai Venue badging at the centre.

We have also managed to get our first look at how the interior of the Venue will look like, and it gets a full black treatment for the dashboard and rest of the cabin. Also visible from the images is a touchscreen infortainment system placed in-between the A/C vents with shortcut controls below it, while lower down the controls to the automatic climate control are placed. It also gets steering moutned controls, USB and aux-in ports and a mid screen in the centre of the dials in the instrument cluster.

In terms of features, the Venue will rest assured come feature loaded like most Hyundai’s do, but apart from our earlier reports of the Venue having an electric sunroof, the Venue will also be loaded with 33 connectivity features, 10 of which the manufacturer says will be exclusive to India only.

Under the hood, the Venue will come powered by 1.0 litre turbo petrol along with a 1.4 litre diesel engines. Transmission options will include manual and automatics right from day of launch, though there is news of a 7-speed dual clutch automatic being offered on the 1.0 litre petrol motor.

Stay tuned for more details to be released by the Korean automaker post its official unveil sometime later this month followed by the official launch in May.
