Not long has it been for the news of the Octavia VRS 245 dispatch cars being shipped to dealers across the country. It was also not too long before we brought you first pics of the car at a dealer yard in Goa.
However while that news is old, fresh from the heels is the news of the very first Octavia VRS 245 being delivered in Goa. The Race Blue Octavia is the first of the 200 units to be sold in India and was delivered to Mr Rohan Lobo.
The 2020 Octavia is the last iteration to be seen before the new model replaces it sometime next year; hence it was brought to India via the CBU route with a sticker price tag of Rs 36 lakhs (ex showroom). Being a full import also means the Octavia VRS for India is a Euro spec car that comes with all the bells and whistles of the global spec car, talking about styling it comes with a blacked out front grille with VRS logo, sportier front and rear bumpers and a bootlid spoiler. The car also gets new 18-inch dual tone alloy wheels with red brake callipers.

As special it is on the exterior, the interior is packaged with premium sport black colour scheme, Alcantara leather wrapped seats and red contrast stitching. The steering wheel, gearlever, seat headrest and steering wheel all get RS logos for a sporty special experience. A new addition to the Octavia VRS 245 range in India is an all digital instrument cluster, a feature many customers have been wanting desperately.
Under the hood it comes powered by a 2.0 litre motor that churns out 245ps and 370Nm of torque, the staggering power is supplied to the wheels through a 7-speed DSG gearbox while a spring from 0-100kmph comes in a super quick 6.6 seconds.

Meanwhile buyers looking to purchase the car will however be disappointed to note that all 200 units have already been sold out. On the whole, Goa has got 4 cars set to be delivered, while Bangalore is leading with 44 units, followed by Chennai with 22. Pune and Hyderabad has got 20 units each set to be delivered soon.
