Kawasaki India has launched the new MY2019 Ninja 650 in India with a new metallic spark black colour priced at Rs 5, 49,000 (ex showroom) for the Ninja 650 standard and 5, 69,000 (ex showroom) for the KRT edition.
With the introduction of the new metallic spark black colour, the palate now extends to three colours. Last year Kawasaki had introduced the KRT edition and Blue colour options for the Ninja 650 which tasted a roaring success.
Powering the beast is a parrarel twin 649cc engine which churns out 68PS and 65.7 Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. Suspension duties are handled by 41mm telescopic fork and 130mm horizontal back-link with adjustable fork. Braking boost is provided by 300mm semi floating disc and 220mm single petal disc brakes.
Speaking on the new addition Mr Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki motors said with this launch ‘’ We are continuing a string of MY19 launches in India. In 650cc category we have four distinct motorcycles and Ninja 650 is one of them. We have observed a very stable demand for the Ninja 650 in India as it comes with an attractive price. I hope our Ninja 650 in metallic spark black colour achieves the same success as other variants have.”
