Kawasaki has launched the new locally assembled Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX10RR in India priced at Rs 12.80 Lakhs (ex showroom) and Rs 16.1 Lakhs (ex showroom) respectively.
The bikes are being assembled at Kawasaki’s plant in Chakan Pune and have witnessed a significant drop in price, however having said that Kawasaki has in a press release mentioned that the prices introduced by the company are valid only until July end.
The ZX10R comes with three power modes, five levels of traction control, Kawasaki corner management function, ABS and a new KRT edition with updated graphics.
The more expensive and sportier ZX-10RR sports 7-spoke Marschini forged aluminium wheels, carbon coated crankcase, Kawasaki quick shifter and an all new Black paint scheme.
Both the models are powered by the same 998cc, liquid-cooled, four cylinder motor which produces 197PS and 113.5Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The Further speaking Mr Yamashtia said ‘’A decision of local assembly of these two high performance motorcycles, which are also sold in Europe, USA and Japan was taken more from the future perspective than only from the price perspective. India Kawasaki has a vision to take steps like these will pave the path to achieve its goals, besides it will also help to increase the craze and enthusiasm for these two legendary performers in this country.’’
