Kawasaki launches W800 Street priced at Rs 7.99 lakhs

Kawasaki has launched the new W800 Street motorcycle priced at Rs 7.99 lakhs (ex showroom prices). The new W800 is what the brand calls a successor to the long retired 1966 model that was launched long ago.

The retro motorcycle allows customers to evoke and feel the same heritage of old times with a sense of high quality touches, solid looking metal parts, unique engine pulse and satisfying engine note. The bike gets iconic W1 inspired styling, round LED headlamp, sculpted fuel tank and elegant muffler design.

Some premium features on-board the motorcycle include simple design for customizable front fender, 2 analogue dial for speedometer and tachometer, multifunction led screen, compact switch gears, retro style instrument panel, large diameter front fork with dual rear shock absorber, 320mm front disc and 270mm rear disc, allumium spoke wheels, 5-way adjustable clutch lever, 4-way adjustable brake lever and twin exhaust with elegant construction.

Kawasaki says the W800 Street offers a comfortable riding position with assist and slipper clutch function. Powering the motorcycle is a 773cc air cooled vertical twin engine that produces 47.5hp and 62.9 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox as standard.

The Kawasaki W800 Street can be had in only 1 colour Metallic flat sparkle black/Metallic Matte graphite grey. The two wheeler manufacturer has also disclosed that the bookings for the bike is open at all Kawasaki dealerships with delivery assured in mid August 2019, however the bike is being sold in limited numbers and bookings will be shut once achieved numbers are targeted.
