Stunned by the enormous response evoked for the Seltos SUV its first product in the Indian market, Kia is now gearing up to bring the Carnival MPV to the Indian market. The automaker has officially listed the Carnival MPV on its website hinting at an Auto Expo launch in 2020.
The Carnival MPV is a pretty large and massive MPV that is said to go up against the current king in the full size MPV market the Toyota Innova. Though details on the MPV are sketchy, the exterior is expected Kia’s signature design traits the tiger nose grille upfront, while alloy wheels and LED headlamps, fog lamps and taillamps will also be offered.

On the inside the Carnival will come loaded with a spacious cabin, multiple seating configurations and lengthy feature list. Electric sliding doors with one touch function, dual sunroof, VIP seats with rear entertainment package, smart powered tailgate and large touchscreen infortainment system with UVO app connect are just some of the features confirmed to be present in the Carnival MPV.
Powering this massive MPV will be a 2.2 litre engine that produces 200hp and 440 Nm of torque. It will however come mated to an 8–speed automatic transmission only for the time being. Bookings for the Carnival in the meantime will start soon and a customer will be able to book one by making an initial payment of Rs 1 lakhs either at the dealership or through the company’s website.

With an early Febuary launch timeframe, the Carnival is not too far from getting to Indian shores. However the key to its success the pricing or price tag will only be revealed when the MPV gets launched soon.
