Enthusiasm has been picking up with up-coming Kia Seltos with almost every second news story having some interesting bit of the Seltos. However the latest to hit the net is the Seltos SUV being spotted being unloaded from a transporter truck in Porvorim by Vinay who has sent the pics across to us.
Dressed in Punchy Orange, the Seltos looks smart, modern and all set to hit the market on the 21st of this month. Buyers will also be able to choose between 6 single tone and 5 dual tone paint schemes. A leaked document by Rushlane, has confirmed that the Seltos will come in 8 variants – 3 in petrol and 5 in diesel. Going by the latest trend of connected cars, the Seltos will also come with connected car technology known as UVO. The UVO app will come with 37 connected features that will also be accessible through the Smartphone.
Under the hood the Seltos will be powered by a range of highly efficient Smartstream petrol and diesel engines. The engines include a 1.6 litre T-GDI turbocharged engine that produces 177 PS; a 2.0 litre naturally aspirated motor developing 149PS and a 1.6 litre diesel mill churning out 136PS.
Transmission options will include upto three automatic that include a 7-speed dual clutch auto, a 6-speed torque convertor auto and a continuously variable transmission or CVT. Further boosting the driving experience in the Seltos will be the three drive modes that include Normal, Eco and Sport.
Pricing is expected to stay in the region of Rs 9.99 to 14.99 lakhs (ex showroom prices). Having entered the Compact SUV segment at a time when it has become congested with rivals, the Kia Seltos rival the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Renault Duster Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Mahindra XUV5OO and the recently launched MG Hector.
