Lexus has launched the new generation ES300H sedan in India priced at Rs 59,13 Lakhs (Ex showroom) Built up on the new Global Architecture-K platform, which is more than just an Engineering marvel Lexus says the platform has allowed the designers to create a striking design and enjoyable to drive vehicle.
The new ES sports an evolutionary design with the large Lexus trademark spindle grille with slim LED headlights and distinctive L-shaped led markers pattern. Part of the new ES300H featuring a sporty design is due to the sedan sitting 45mm lower to the ground.
Lexus may have made the exterior of the ES300H a stunner, but it’s on the inside where most of the time has been spent, the interior has received a complete overhaul with a new dashboard design and loads more space. The dashboard and driver control display is now tilted towards the driver, while the increase in wheelbase has led to improved space for front and rear passengers.
Features and kit on board the car include console mounted climate and audio controls, heated and adjustable airline seats, 17 speakers Mark Levision Pure play system, 12.3 inch Electro Multi Vision infotainment system, power recline function for rear seats, 7-inch instrument panel with a large analogue tachometer, digital speedometer and coloured head’s up display.
Lexus ES300H makes use of a fourth generation hybrid system which is coupled the same 2.5 litre four cylinder petrol motor which produces 215bhp. The Euro VI compliant motor also offers drive mode select system like Eco, Normal and Sport which allows the car’s settings to be tailor suited to varying road conditions which in return delivers health efficiency of 22.37kmpl.
The ES300H suspension is made up of Macpherson units at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear with stabilizer bars at each end. Should safety be a concern and Lexus is offering everything right from 10 airbags, Hill start assist, and Vehicle stability control, Anti-theft system with break-in and tilt sensors.

For the perfectionist who demands a range of colour schemes, The ES comes with 9 exterior and 4 interior colours and 3 trim options. Along with Black, Chateau and Topaz Brown, the ES also introduces a light Rich Cream interior that offers a striking contrast to the deep brown dash and roof trim.
