Maruti Suzuki has slashed prices of several of its models by Rs 5,000 on the ex showroom price tag, this move by the automaker comes as a result of the Government authorities announcing a reduction in corporate tax.
The automaker has thus decided to pass on the benefit to its customers by reducing the prices of its models. The cars that have seen a reduction in prices include Alto800, Alto K10, Celerio, Swift and Ignis. Further the Baleno diesel, Dzire diesel; Vitara Brezza and S-Cross have also seen the same smart move by the company. Also part of the price cut is the Dzire tour S diesel which is the previous gen model.
The company says the new prices will be applicable across the county from 25th September 2019 and the reduction will be over and above the current promotional offers available on its model range. Maruti Suzuki is also optimistic that the price reduction will bring down the cost of acquisition especially for the entry level customers.
Maruti Suzuki is also gearing up to launch its next small car the S-Presso by the end of this month. The model will sport SUV-ish styling and will come loaded with features to help it rival the Renault Kwid amongst other rivals in its respective segment.
