Living up to its commitment towards investing towards a greener environment, India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki flagged off 50 prototype electric vehicles for real word testing around the country.
The vehicles were first showcased at the MOVE Summit in Delhi, where Mr Osamu Suzuki himself confirmed that the nation-wide field testing of 50 such prototypes would commence soon. The vehicles were flagged off from the company’s Gurugram facility by Mr C V Raman, Senior Executive Director (Engineering).
Designed and developed exclusively by Suzuki motor Japan and built at Maruti Suzuki’s Gurugram facility. The vehicles will be tested on multiple terrains and climatic conditions which will help the company get valuable insights on real usage, thus helping in gathering crucial inputs based on customer perspectives, hence delighting the customer with a successful electric vehicle launch.
Maruti Suzuki is also believed to be working on the new generation standard Waganor for India due for launch by middle of next year.
