Maruti Suzuki has finally introduced the long awaited S-Cross petrol in the Indian market. The petrol powered S-Cross has been priced at Rs 8.39 lakhs for the base manual trim and Rs 12.39 lakhs for the top end automatic (ex showroom India prices).
At the heart of matter is a 1.5 litre K Series petrol engine, it churns out 77kw @6000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4400rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic. Mileage figures however are rated at 18.55kmpl
Also new is the well known SmartPlay Studio, In the S-Cross it’s a 7-inch unit and just like every other unit we have seen till date this system too comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Live updates along with voice recognition.
The new 2020 S-Cross is sold in 4 variants in petrol manual – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha and three trims in automatic – Delta, Zeta and Alpha. In terms of features it comes with auto projector LED headlamps, auto dimming and antiglare inner rear view mirror, auto retracting wing mirrors and gear shift indicator.
Further talking about safety, the S-Cross petrol comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, rear parking assist, high speed warning alert, reverse parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat restraint system. These safety features are standard across all variants to ensure complete safety of passengers. Further, the all new S-Cross Petrol is compliant with advance safety norms including frontal offset crash, side impact and pedestrian safety.
