In another move to delight customers with faster deliveries of their favourite model the Vitara Brezza.
Maruti Suzuki has increased production capacity of their popular model from 10% to 94,000 units during April to October 2018-19 compared to the same months last year.
In the first seven months (April to October) 2017-18, the Vitara Brezza clocked over 1.48 lakh units with 61% of the sales coming from the top end Z and Z+ variants.
.Announcing the increased production and availability of Vitara Brezza, Mr. R.S. Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales), Maruti Suzuki said, “The high demand for our popular models such as the Vitara Brezza is a testimony of our best in class technology, design and customer experience. With the Suzuki Motor Gujarat plant operational at its full capacity of 2.5 lakh units annually in Gujarat, we are able to increase the output. We are confident that with the reduced waiting period, we will be able to enhance the car buying and ownership experience of our customers.”
Launched in March 2016, the Vitara Brezza became an instant hit among the masses. It achieved 3 lakhs sales mark in the SUV segment in barely 28 months and has also been clocking numbers with higher than several competition products together. The dual tone colours introduced along the standard paint schemes also evoked high acceptance among customers says a press release issued by the company.
In May 2018, the automobile manufacturer introduced the revolutionary two pedal technologies or Auto gear shift by Maruti Suzuki speak. The auto variant further contributed to the demand with overwhelming response received from the consumers.
Powering the SUV is a DDIS 200 diesel motor that produces 66 Kw of power @ 4400 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @3750 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox with a claimed fuel economy figure of kmpl for the manual and kmpl for the AMT.
