Mercedes Benz has launched the new AMG S63 4MATIC+ Coupe in India at Rs 2.55 crores (Ex showroom) The AMG S 63 Coupe joins the other models in the Mercedes AMG line-up and is the seventh model to launched this year.
The S 63 AMG Coupe gets a reworked front Panamerica grille that gets vertical slats wrapped in chrome making the car quite a stunner at sight. The new bumper houses a larger air intake helps in cooling the engine faster. The rear receives an updated rear apron with diffuser insert, AMG specific quad Exhausts and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Mercedes Benz AMG S 63 Coupe interior gets a new three spoke steering wheel and Nappa leather, AMG badges for the front and rear backrests. The 12.3 inch TFT windshield colour display which gives out information like Engine output and torque, boost pressure, engine and transmission oil temperature, latitudal and longitudal acceleration, tyre temperatures and pressures.
Powering the car is S 63 is an AMG sourced unit that churns out 612hp and 900nm torque. The engine powers the rear wheels through a 9-speedshift transmission. The motor is capable of propelling the car from 0 – 100 kmph in 3.5 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph in standard form and 300kmph with the AMG drivers’ package.
The AMG S 63 Coupe also gets an Active cylinder deactivation system which automatically shuts off the cylinders thus improving efficiency and two twin scroll turbos which are said to improve response. Safety technology on board the AMG S 63 Coupe includes Blind spot warning assist, Active steering assist, Active brake assist and Active distance assist.
