Morris Garages has launched the 2021 Hector range in the Indian market. The new update includes a minor facelift to the standard 5 seater Hector and a new 7 seater Hector Plus.
The biggest and most noticeable change on the standard Hector 5 seater includes a new front grille borrowed from the Hector Plus. Elsewhere there’s only the new 18-inch alloy wheel wrapped in higher 215/55 section rubber and a chrome bar replacing the connecting light at the back that gives away the fact that this is a facelift.
The inside the standard Hector facelift swaps the earlier full black treatment for the cabin for black & beige colour scheme, On the features front there’s also the addition of ventilated seats, wireless charging and an auto dimming wing mirror that’s also part of the package in the 6 seat Hector Plus as well.
The other waves making addition to the Hector range is the addition of a 7 seats option in the Hector Plus model. This version swaps the middle captain chairs from the 6 seat version for a bench seat.
The 10.4 inch large touchscreen packs in a whole load more than what it previously offered. Among them are new Hinglish commands, these commands can be used by saying “Sunroof kolo” to open the sunroof among many more.
Powering the car are the same triple engine options as the standard car, which are a 170hp 1.5 litre diesel paired to a 6-speed manual, a 1.5 litre turbo petrol hybrid paired to 6-speed manual and 143hp 1.5 litre turbo petrol paired to a 6-speed dual clutch automatic.
