Nissan has introduced the new 2020 Kicks in the Indian market, the new Kicks receives a new BS6 spec engine and new colour options.
However the facelift that has just been unveiled at Thailand hasn’t made it to India as predicted. Prices for the 2020 Kicks start at an introductory price tag of Rs 9.50 lakhs and go upto Rs 13.90 lakhs (ex showroom prices).
The biggest change in the 2020 Kicks is the heart, which is available in two engine options, a 1.5 litre and 1. 3 litre turbo petrol. The 1.5 petrol makes 106hp and 142Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual, while the new 1.3 turbo produces 156hp and 254Nm of torque and comes mated to a CVT and 6-speed manual gearbox options.
Buyers in the fray can choose between 7 variants – XL, XV, XV Premium, XV Premium optional and XV Premium optional dual tone. Also on offer in variety are six exterior paint schemes, these include Fire red, Bronze Grey, Deep pearl blue, Night shade and Blade silver. Further adding to the range are three dual tone options like Fire red with Onyx black, Bronze grey with Amber Orange and Pearl white with Onyx black.
Nissan has also added new safety kit to the updated BS6 Kicks such as traction control, vehicle stability management system, electronic stability control, hill start assist and cruise control.
The Japanese automaker is further offering a standard 2 year warranty which is extendable to 5 years/100,000kms at an attractive price. It comes with free road side assistance subscription for 2 years available in more than 1500 cities.
For the convience of customers, a pre-paid mantainence service package is also offered at an attractive price starting at 2099 per year. The Nissan Kicks takes on the Renault Duster, Renault Captur, MG Hector, Mahindra XUV 500, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Hyundai Creta and Tata Harrier.
