Porsche has just launched the most powerful and road going 911 ever made, the 911 GT2 RS priced at Rs 3.88 Crore (Ex showroom)
Porsche’s 911 GT2 RS draws power from 3.8 litre twin turbocharged, six cylinder engine churning out a mere 686bhp and a whopping 750Nm of torque. All the power is pushed to the rear wheels through the 7-speed dual clutch DoppelKupplung (PDK) transmission.
The 911 GT2 RS has shed weight by a large margin with the figures standing at 1,470kg which means that the latest iteration of the 911 capable of going a lot faster than the other models in the Porsche line-up. The 911 GT2 RS can sprint from 0-100kmph in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 340kmph.
The most powerful 911 will definitely need a good set of brakes to provide stop it in time. This is where Porsche’s ceramic composite brakes step in with a diameter of 410mm at front and 390 millimetres at the rear. The 911 GT2 RS rides on ultra high performance tyres which include 265/35 ZR20 front and 325/30 ZR 21 rear tyres with metallic gold painted forged alloy wheels which have the GT2 RS logo printed onto them.
Porsche has also increased the allocation of the units for India because of high demand from potential customers, so we should be able to see a lot more units of the 911 GT2 RS on our roads soon.
