India Kawasaki has begun accepting pre-bookings for the MY 2020 Versys 1000. The new Versys 1000 will be assembled in India and can be booked for an initial amount of Rs 1, 50,000 with delivery promised in April 2019.
The 2020 spec Versys 1000 boats of even greater comfort and versatility. The bike now features a sharper face with a LED headlight and an adjustable windscreen. Kawasaki has also thrown in a digital instrument cluster which consists of a full digital speedometer, standard gear position indicator, average fuel consumption, dual trip meters, odometer, fuel gauge, remaining range angle display and max bank angle recording function, coolant temperature, intake air temperature, clock, economical ridding indicator and IMU indicator.
Mr Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors Pvt Ltd, said “Versys 1000 is known as any road, any time motorcycle. It also has the most versatile adventure-style for fun sport riding and touring. The locally assembled Versys 1000 certainly gives us an advantage to sell the bike at a very attractive price, but most importantly, we are happy to create more buying opportunities for our highly enthusiastic customers. We had a great success with earlier Versys 1000. In recent times, we have received good number of enquiries from customers and therefore we again expect phenomenal success with the new Versys 1000.
Powering the motorcycle is a liquid cooled in-line four engine that produces bhp and Nm of torque. the engine comes mated to a 5 – speed transmission and now boasts of the addition of an Electronic Throttle Valves which enable the addition of Electronic Cruise control.
The new Versys 1000 also receives Kawasaki’s intelligent anti-lock braking system with addition of ABS as standard fitment. The Kawasaki Versys 1000 will be released in due course of time and will be available in Pearl Stardust white colour.
