Priority Renault has launched the new updated Kwid hatchback in Goa. The new Kwid gets an updated design and feature list but with no change in price.
On the outside, the new 2018 Kwid gets a bold new chrome front grille which adds to the style statement on the outside.
The new Kwid gets Emergency locking seatbelts for the rear seats most commonly known as ELR seatbelts as standard, while higher trims now get a reverse parking camera, 12 volt charging socket, chrome trim for inner door handles. Renault has also added a rear armrest for the Climber variant of the Kwid and Traffic assist feature on the AMT variant.
Renault currently offers the Kwid in Six colour options namely Electric blue, Ice cool white, Fiery red, Outback bronze, Moonlight silver and Plannet grey

Mechanically the Kwid remains largely unchanged and it continues to be powered by the same set of engines that used to power the earlier car. The 0.8 litre engine produces 54 bhp and 72 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5 speed manual transmission, while the more powerful 1.0 litre puts out 67 bhp and 91nm torque. The higher powered variant gets a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox option as well.
The French company is also offering four-year/1, 00,000 kms warranty, which includes the regular two-year/50,000km extended warranty package. Renault is also believed to be working on a major facelift for the Kwid due in 2020 which will bring it in line with the safety regulations and crash test norms.
