Royal Enfield has launched the much awaited new Continental GT 650 priced at Rs 2.50 Lakhs and the Interceptor 650 at Rs 2.65 Lakhs (ex showroom Goa). The new bikes have been launched in three trims – Standard, Classic and Custom.

The new twin motorcycles are said to be the brands first ever twin engine motorcycles in 50 years and recall a golden era for the marquee that began in 1948 with the arrival of its first 500 twin. The 500 twin soon evolved into its famed high-performance models, the Meteor, Super Meteor and ultimately the original Interceptor of 1960.

Both bikes get a twin cradle tubular steel frame that has been designed with a 24mm rake angle and sport 174mm ground clearance. Royal Enfield says the Interceptor 650 is a modern classic roadster that is a blast to ride on the twisty hills yet equally fun on the highways.
