Seat has been spotted testing the Arona compact SUV in the Indian market spiking up speculations on what’s cooking. The model spotted testing in India is a LHD model and has been spotted testing around Pune.
Many have been speculating that this could mark Seat brand’s entry into the Indian market with the first product being the Arona spotted on test. However those rumours can now be put to rest with Seat brand having no plans for India entry into India anytime soon.

However the fact that the Seat Arona is actually based on the MQB platform and that’s where the rumours come to an end. The model could very well be testing components for the upcoming Soda and Volkswagen models, in that case being the VW Taigun and the Skoda Kushaq.
The Seat Arona however could be a great addition to the Indian market if the brand does decide to get it to India. The model gets a stylish design that looks smart and upmarket. Globally the car is sold in three variants SE Technology, FR and FR Red edition. The car rides on 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels and is offered in 7 exterior paint options including dual tone. The interior too is well appointed with premium materials and large touchscreen infotainment system and great features.

Coming back to the facts, the Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq launch dates are round the corner and will be launching soon. The Skoda Kushaq will come first this June and the Volkswagen Taigun is said to launch later around August/September.
